Diversity Resources

Many people at the ACM India event were interested in reading more about the data that supports the Business Case for Diversity. There is really a lot of literature. Here are links to some that are available online:

These are certainly not the only resources available, but they do contain a lot of interesting food for thought.

ACM India Meeting at ISB Hyderabad, January 28 & 29, 2011

The second annual ACM India meeting (link for meeting details), hosted by the ACM Hyderabad Chapter, was held at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad on January 28th and 29th, and was very successful. There were approximately 523 participants from 167 institutions from all over India for the 2-day event, as well as some speakers from overseas. The talks were engaging and of high quality, and the venue was very comfortable.

The first day consisted of talks and panel discussions; the second day consisted of workshops.

  • The full schedule is here.
  • Slides and other resources will be linked from this page as they become available.
We would like to remind you that becoming a member of the ACM is simple, and includes access to the ACM online library.
To start a new chapter is not hard; we would like to see more ACM chapters formed in India!

The ACM Hyderabad chapter would like to extend thanks to the many people who have made this event possible:
  • All the speakers, especially those who came from overseas and from other parts of India. The quality of the talks was exceptional and this made the conference worthwhile!
  • ACM headquarters, which made it possible to invite ACM award winners and ACM officers to this event.
  • ISB, which provided the venue. The auditorium is of high quality, and we pretty much filled the hall. The areas used to serve lunch and dinner were beautiful and comfortable. Thank you!
  • IIIT Hyderabad for providing the facilities for some of the workshops, including setting up environments in the teaching laboratories for the mod_pagespeed workshop.
  • Infosys for providing wonderful accommodation for many of the speakers.
